“For the People who once upon a time handed out military command, high civil office, legions — everything, now restrains itself and anxiously hopes for just two things: bread and circuses.” – Juvenal, Satire X
The basis of Pancirco (Pan-seer-ko), and the inspiration for its name, lies in the above statement made by first and second century Roman poet, Juvenal. Bread (pan) and circuses (circo) — or food and entertainment — are what I write about. They are also two of the biggest things we humans most enjoy and satisfy our souls with. Personally, discussing sports and delicious food bring me much joy, and this blog is my outlet to do so.
